The bigger picture

What does Real Air, Real Brass mean?

Real people pushing real air through real instruments. Acoustic energy over synthetic presets. We are not against technology, we are against replacing the players.

Why is it free?

Because the point is to put the tools in players' hands, not to charge rent. The platform only earns a small, transparent cut when you do.

What is the album and the campaign?

The Distributed Section is also a global horn collective recording a flagship album, funded by a crowdfunding campaign. The platform is where that record gets made.

Who is behind it?

It is a project by Nigel Casey, a saxophonist and coach, based in Torricella, Switzerland.
